This course is designed to equip individuals with the requisite knowledge and skills to produce quality prints and dyed fabrics that meet industry standards. Our experienced instructors will guide students on various aspects of printing and dyeing, such as color theory, fabric preparation, screen printing, block printing, dyeing techniques using natural and synthetic dyes, and the production of patterns and designs on fabrics. The practical course structure and hands-on learning approach we adopt at Art Fetchers Institute ensure that students acquire proficiency in printing and dyeing at the end of the course. Month 1: Introduction to Fashion Printing and Dyeing

Week 1-2: Basics of Fabric Printing and Dyeing

  • Overview of Different Types of Printing (Screen Printing, Block Printing, etc.)
  • Understanding Different Dyeing Methods (Dip Dyeing, Tie-Dye, etc.)


Week 3-4-5: Exploring Colour Theory and Fabric Preparation

  • Understanding Colour Mixing and Combinations
  • Selecting and Preparing Fabrics for Printing and Dyeing
  • Techniques for Achieving Different Colour Effects


Month 2: Fabric Printing Techniques

Week 6-7: Screen Printing

  • Introduction to Screen Printing Process
  • Creating Stencils and Screens
  • Printing Multi-Color Designs


Week 8-9-10: Block Printing and Stamp Printing

  • Creating Custom Blocks and Stamps
  • Achieving Repetitive Patterns and Motifs
  • Overprinting and Layering Techniques


Month 3: Fabric Dyeing Techniques and Project Execution

Week 11-12: Tie-Dye and Shibori Techniques

  • Introduction to Tie-Dye and Shibori Styles
  • Folding, Binding, and Resist Techniques
  • Experimenting with Different Dye Colors


Week 13-14-15: Natural Dyeing and Experimental Techniques

  • Using Natural Materials for Dyeing (Plant Extracts, Food, etc.)
  • Eco-Friendly Dyeing Practices
  • Exploring Innovative Techniques (Gradient Dyeing, Ombre, etc.)


Final Week: Final Projects and Portfolio Presentation

  • Students select a final fabric printing or dyeing project.
  • Application of learned techniques to create unique designs.
  • Presenting completed projects to the class, discussing process, inspiration, and challenges.
