Week 1-2: Basics of Landscape Design

  • Introduction to Landscape Design and its Relevance in Interior Design
  • Overview of Design Principles for Exterior Spaces
  • Role of Landscape Design in Enhancing Interior Spaces

Week 3-4-5: Landscape Design Elements

  • Elements of Landscape Design (Plants, Hardscape, Water Features, etc.)
  • Selection and Placement of Plants for Different Environments
  • Exploring Types of Hardscape Materials (Paving, Decking, etc.)

Month 2: Designing Exterior Spaces

Week 6-7: Garden Types and Themes

  • Different Types of Gardens (Formal, Informal, Japanese, etc.)
  • Designing Gardens based on Themes and Inspirations
  • Integrating Landscape with Architecture and Interior Style

Week 8-9-10: Planting Design and Softscape

  • Principles of Planting Design (Texture, Color, Height, etc.)
  • Selecting Plants based on Climate and Maintenance Requirements
  • Creating Planting Plans for Different Outdoor Spaces

Month 3: Landscape Design Implementation and Presentation

Week 11-12: Hardscape Design and Outdoor Furnishings

  • Designing Hardscape Elements (Pathways, Patios, Furniture, etc.)
  • Selection and Placement of Outdoor Furnishings
  • Balancing Hardscape with Softscape for a Harmonious Design

Week 13-14-15: Landscape Design Presentation and Portfolio

  • Final Week: Final Project Showcase and Reflection
